Welcome to The Waffle Market at Hengistbury Head

 

After four incredible years serving at some of the UK’s most exciting events, we’ve finally found our perfect permanent home and it’s right here in the heart of the stunning Hengistbury Head Nature Reserve. On Sunday 10th August, we proudly opened our doors for the very first time in this unique location marking a special moment for the Visitor Centre too, as it’s the first time they’ve had a food and drink offering in over a decade.

More Than Just Waffles

We’re passionate about giving back to the place we now call home. That’s why a percentage of every sale goes directly back to the Visitor Centre, helping to fund vital conservation work and preserve the beauty of the reserve. We also donate our used coffee grounds for free to local gardeners as a natural fertiliser, and we’re already working with the team on exciting events too!

What’s on the Menu

Our offering is all about quality, flavour, and a sense of place. We serve:

• Small-batch coffee – including decaf and iced coffee

• Mr Whippy soft serve ice cream

• Our famous Belgian waffles, each one named after the local area – from the fruity HengistBerry Special to the indulgent Biscoff Mudeford Split, inspired by the dramatic tidal split at Mudeford Sandbank where land meets sea.

• Dog-friendly treats, including doggy ice cream to brighten the day for your four-legged friends.

Whether you’re here for a brisk morning walk, a cycle, a beach day, a dog walk or a family outing, we’ve got something to make your visit extra sweet!
